Description

Ingredients
- 1 ½ lbs lean ground beef (A mix of 80% lean, 20% fat is recommended)
- 500 gms MUSHROOs, thinly sliced
- 2 tsp butter or olive oil
- 2 tbsps soy sauce
- 4 slices Swiss or Cheddar cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
- ½ tsp Meat Tenderizer (optional)
- 6 Burger Buns
Instructions
- Mix the beef with salt/pepper and tenderizer (if using) and divide into 6 patties. Set these aside.
- Add the sliced mushrooms and soy sauce into a pan and saute with butter or olive oil until lightly browned.
- Preheat a frying or grill pan, add some cooking oil, and grill the burger patties. This will take about 5-6 minutes, depending on their thickness.
- Make sure that the patties are well-cooked but not burnt or overdone.
- Then, add the sauteed MUSHROOs to the burgers, Swiss, or other cheese slices, and cover the pan. Let the cheese melt, and then remove the pan from the flame.
- Place the patties on the burger buns and your delicious Mushroom Swiss Burgers are ready. Serve immediately so the burgers are juicy and the cheese is melted to perfection. Serve them with ketchup, mayo, and French fries!
