Description

Here’s a simple and delicious recipe for Palak (Spinach) with White Button MUSHROOs that will be perfect for the winter season. It’s lighter on calories and healthier than Palak Paneer but just as delicious with our premium quality white button mushrooms.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups fresh spinach leaves, washed & chopped
  • 1 cup white button MUSHROOs, cleaned and sliced
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 tomatoes, finely chopped
  • 2 green chilies, finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon ginger-garlic paste
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin seeds
  • 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1 teaspoon coriander powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon garam masala
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • Fresh coriander leaves for garnish

Instructions

  1. Start by heating oil in a pan or skillet over medium heat. Add cumin seeds and let them brown.
  2. Add chopped onions and sauté until they become translucent.
  3. Add ginger-garlic paste and green chilies. Sauté for a minute until they are slightly cooked.
  4. Add the chopped tomatoes; cook until they become soft and the oil starts to separate.
  5. Add turmeric powder, coriander powder, and salt. Mix well.
  6. Add sliced MUSHROOs and cook until they release water and become tender.
  7. Then add chopped spinach leaves and stir well. Cook until the spinach wilts and the moisture evaporates.
  8. Sprinkle garam masala and mix everything.
  9. Cook for a few more minutes until the flavors blend well, and the dish reaches the desired consistency.
  10. Garnish with fresh coriander leaves.

Notes
