Easy Air Fryer Mushrooms and Onions

If you cook every day, then the air fryer is your best friend, and we have a great recipe for Easy Air Fryer Mushrooms and Onions. This versatile dish takes only a few minutes to prepare and cook and is excellent to add as a side dish to steaks, cutlets, or more. You can also use it as a topping for pizzas and burgers or add to an omelet.


  • 250gms MUSHROOs, thickly sliced
  • 2 Large Onions, thinly sliced
  • Cooking oil or olive oil
  • ½ tsp Salt
  • ¼ tsp Pepper


  1. Mix the MUSHROOs, sliced onions, oil, salt, and pepper in a large bowl.
  2. Place the mixture into the air fryer basket. You can line the basket with foil or baking paper if needed.
  3. Set the air fryer temperature to 160-180°C for 12-15 minutes.
  4. After about 5 minutes, open the air fryer basket and stir the mixture to ensure it cooks evenly.
  5. Close the air fryer and continue cooking until the mushrooms are browned and the onions are caramelized. Make sure not to overcook the mixture.

Serve the Easy Air Fryer MUSHROOs and Onions as a delicious side dish with fried cutlets, steaks, or added to burgers. You can also keep the mixture in the fridge and use it later in other dishes, such as omelets.


Other than salt and pepper, what spices can I add?

You can get as creative as you like. Add paprika or red pepper if you like a spicier version or oregano and thyme if you want a milder one.

Can I add more vegetables to vary this recipe?

You can also add bell peppers, olives, and other vegetables to vary the taste.

Instead of cooking oil, can I use butter?
