White button mushrooms are the kitchen’s quiet superheroes. They soak up masala, butter, garlic and cream, turn golden in a hot pan, and add a meaty bite to any dish, with or without meat.
At MUSHROO we grow them ourselves, in clean, climate-controlled rooms in Pakistan. Each batch is hand-picked when the caps are tight and firm, packed the same day, and delivered fast, so you get the squeaky-fresh texture that tinned and long-stored mushrooms simply can’t match.
Why you’ll love them: a mild, earthy flavour that kids and adults both enjoy · ready in 5–7 minutes · naturally low in calories and a source of B-vitamins, potassium and selenium · works in desi, continental and Chinese dishes.
Which size? 250g: one dish for 1–2 people. 500g: a family meal for 3–4 people (most popular). 1kg: meal prep, parties and dawats, and it qualifies for free delivery by itself.

FAQs

How long will these stay fresh after I receive them?

Our mushrooms are harvested and delivered within a tight window. When stored properly in a paper bag in the fridge, they typically stay firm and fresh for 3–5 days.

Should I wash the mushrooms before storing them?

No, avoid washing them until you are ready to cook. Mushrooms are like sponges; moisture causes them to become slimy. Just wipe them with a damp cloth or a quick rinse right before use.

Which size should I choose for a family of four?

The 500g pack is our most popular for a single family meal (like a pasta or a large stir-fry). If you are meal-prepping for the week, the 1kg pack offers the best value.

Can I freeze these if I buy the 1kg pack and can't finish it?

Yes! For the best results, we recommend slicing and sautéing them slightly before freezing. This preserves the texture better than freezing them raw.

Why do you recommend storing them in a paper bag instead of the plastic they come in?

Mushrooms need to "breathe." Plastic traps moisture which leads to spoilage. Moving them to a paper bag in the vegetable drawer of your fridge helps them stay crisp.
