A classic British dish, this is a quick and satisfying tea-time or late-night snack. Mushrooms-on-toast needs a few readily available ingredients and the most basic cooking skills to create a delicious meal in minutes.

- 500 gms MUSHROOs, thickly sliced
- 1 tbsp butter or olive oil
- ½ an onion, finely sliced
- ¼ tsp garlic powder or crushed garlic
- ¼ tsp thyme and parsley powder
- ½ tsp lemon juice
- 2 slices of toast (white or brown)
Instructions
- Heat the olive oil/butter in a pan and sauté the onions until soft.
- Then add the garlic, thyme, and parsley and continue stirring.
- Mix in the mushrooms and keep sautéing until they are brown and release moisture.
- Add the lemon juice to the mushroom mixture. Also, place the bread in the toaster so it’s ready to serve.
- Spread some of the butter or olive oil on your toast, add the sauteed mushrooms, and sprinkle with some more parsley if required.
- Your easy Mushroom-on-toast is ready and should be served immediately so it can be savored in all its tangy deliciousness.
