Ingredients
- 12–15 white button mushrooms, washed
- ½ tsp turmeric powder
- ¾ tsp red chilli powder
- ½ tsp garam masala powder
- ½ tsp fennel (saunf) powder
- 2 tbsp yogurt
- 1.5 tsp oil
- 2 tbsp gram flour (besan)
- ½ tsp ginger garlic paste
- Salt as needed
- ½ tsp chaat masala (optional)
Instructions
- Marinate the Mushrooms
- Combine mushrooms, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, garam masala, fennel powder, ginger garlic paste, yogurt, gram flour, oil, and salt in a bowl.
- Mix everything well without adding water.
- Let the mixture marinate for 20–30 minutes.
- Prepare the Oven
Preheat the oven to 200°C for about 10–15 minutes.
- Skewer the Mushrooms
Thread the marinated mushrooms onto skewers, preferably about five mushrooms per skewer so they cook evenly.
- Cook the Skewers
- Rotisserie Method: Place skewers in the rotisserie and cook at 200°C until evenly grilled.
- Baking Dish Method: Place skewers on a foil-lined baking tray and rotate them occasionally for even roasting.
- Check for Doneness
After 15–20 minutes the mushrooms should look slightly shrunken, golden, and lightly charred. Remove from oven.
- Serve
Serve Mushroo Tikka Skewers hot with mint chutney.

Mint Chutney Tip: Whisk thick curd with salt. Blend mint leaves and green chilli, then mix with the curd. Add chaat masala if desired.
